Desiree Martin
Desiree is a rural central Florida native and American actress who's been entertaining audiences for more than fifteen years. She studied at the prestigious Beverly Hills Playhouse for ten years under renown acting coach Milton Katselis, as well as Richard Lawson, Jocelyn Jones, and Allen Williams. Her favorite roles have included Gittel in Two for the See-Saw, Patricia in Sight Unseen, and Claire in Proof.
Desiree is known for her unrelenting commitment to the truth in characters. She brings a guttural, earthy, raw flavor to each performance; and nails each character with pure honesty peppered with sheer humor and human strength. She has, at times, but usually only on Sundays, been accused of being fall down funny!
Recently, she apprised the role of Juror #3 in Reginald Rose's Twelve Angry Women at the Producer's Club in NYC. Prior to this, her theater performances included playing four separate characters in Midnight's Children under the direction of acclaimed director Jose Carrasquillo with Washington DC's Theater Lab.
Most notably, however, she was just nominated for a best actor award by Erica Arvold of Arvold Casting for her performance as the clerk in The Cell Master through Virginia Film Festival's Adrenaline Film Project.
She also wrapped filming the feature horror film Pipeline playing the part of Lisa which was written, produced, and directed by award winning director Emily Aguilar.
Lastly, through her production company ParsonsPointeProductions she is venturing into directing her first short film The FireTower written by Shad Fagerland. With The Fire Tower, she will also apprise the part of Lynne, and executive produce. She is also co-producing A Place Apart with Give and Take Productions.
